How to Live by Sarah Bakewell is excellent. It's based on the essays of Michel de Montaigne. I just finished it and highly recommend. It's insightful, clever and funny.

Hey Land, Have you watched The Boy's In The Boat yet? On Amazon. George Clooney directs. Not as good as the book, but worth the watch.

I just finished the books Swamp Fox(about Francis Marion) and Rebel yell(about Stonewall) and both were extremely insightful. Marion was a true badass.
